+5v rail & 8RDA+

Guys I need some feedback from you all concerning the +5v rail.

Please post +5v line and what PS your using. If you have one with pots please say whether or not you've tweaked it.

It seems my board is using alot of voltage on the 5 rail. I have two PS's, TTGI 520wt and CoolMax Taurus 550wt. Both have a single pot that can adjust the 5 and 12 rails.

Both right out of the box had very low +5v rail under 4.9v. This of course is over 200fsb dual channel.

Just curious what others are seeing.

Thanks

Mine says 4.919 but I tested it with a multimeter and it read 5.06 so I believe the voltmeter...

BIOS volt readings are FOS...

I have 5.05v idle 5v line and 4.92v full load 5v line.
Vcore 2.0v and Vdmm 2.9

AMD2400+ with GF4 Ti4200 + Sparkle 400w PSU(POTs). I did adjust my POTs but I adjust it to lower 5v. The PSU was previously used on 8KHA+ and 8KHA+ has a reputation of bad voltage regulator. I have to supply 5.24v to it in order to get stable 5v line. Now I have my psu supply 5.13v to my 8RDA+. I use Digital Multimeter and also Digital Doc 5 to measure those 5v. I only using MBM5 readings as a reference.

Hoot <--- one of my OC god... he said... alot of time bad 5v line was result of bad ATX connectors to the Mobo. Voltage will definately lowered because poor ATX connector. It is ok to supply your mobo up to 5.25v straight out of your PSU.... However, anything above that is not recommanded and it is dangerous that you can damage your Hardware. I would say play safe and only set to 5.20v the max.

Yup, agree.

Can anyone recommend a good voltmeter?
