also on a side note the cpu temp sensor on the 8rda+ is full of it
1150mhz cpu = 32deg
2266mhz cpu = 35deg

i think not

Perhaps re-download Prime95. Maybe something went wrong with the download and before we let you take your complete system apart it may be advisable to first check the program

It's not a VCore issue. If you read the post he states that he is underclocking his CPU. He's running at 1150 Mhz (instead of 2000).
Perhaps your first overclock (to 2800+) has damaged your Windows install. Have you tried re-installing Windows and redownloading Prime?

I doubt it. Windows can be corrupted but how can it relate to Prime95 failure?

In fact I'm experiencing similiar Prime95 failure issue. My 1800+ can run 180x10 stable at 1.575v, but 1.625v would make it failing in Prime95, I just can't explain this.

The other strange behaviour I saw is that Prime95 error could occur *after* the program ran normally for 3 hours. This is very unusual in my experience as I always seem unstable OC config to fail Prime95 test within the first 10 minutes !!!

Both your problems are probably because of overheating. the extra voltage causes overheating and the prolonged running of Prime also causes the chip to get warmer. Get better cooling and see if that helps.

Well, I'm using just 1.6x volt with an AX-7 on top of the CPU. And, most importantly the full load temp I saw from MBM5 never went beyond 44C !!!

Ok , sorry i didn't you were underclocking, what memory settings are you running? I corupted windows running memory to aggressive. What fan are you using for the ax-7 ? I'm running a ax-7 with a 80 cfm delta at half speed,my max temps at 1.875 vcore is 42 . Maybe the heatsinks not seated correctly.

Anyone know if the "CPU throttling" setting in the BIOS would affect Prime95 behaviour? The results I'm getting are a bid un-predictable as my rig could run Prime95 for 24 hours in one day but could also fail the tortore test in 4 hours in a later day.

Exclamation Stable ?

imo an overclocked system is only stable if it can run prime95 torture 3*24h, Then its stable. One run with 24 hours is the minimum.

Sometimes my System crashed after 15h.
