8RDA+ and Audigy Soundcard install problem

I'm trying to build a system with the following components:

8rDA+ with 12=10-02 Bios
Windos XP Professional/SP!
Tbred 2700
Audigy Sound Card (installed in pci slot 4 - has it own irq)
Corsair XMS3200 X 512mb X 2(installed in slot 1 and 3)
Dr. Thermal HS with Vantec 80CFM Fan (MB temps 28C and cpu 30c)
Vantenc 520 Power supply
SIIG ATA 133 IDE non raid pci card
Adaptec 2930 scsi pci card

I have no sound after the firts reboot after install the audgy drivers and or software. I can hear the windsow exit sound upon reboot but no sound after that. Nothing is muted.

I have tried the audigy in different pci slots but can't find the problem. The only temporary solution has been to not install the nvidia drivers.

Has anyone gotten the audigy installed on this board without probelms?

When I first recieved my board, I gave the built-in SoundStorm a try. I've been so pleased and satisfied with the exceptional sound and performance that I have decided to ditch the SB Audigy! That card has been nothing but grief, pain and a hassle to get working flawlessly in the past on my other boards and systems. Nvidia and Epox did one hell of a job with the built-in sound on the 8RDA+.

You do have the built-in audio and mpu and game-port disabled in bios, right?
