Can you use line in and rear speakers at the same time on a 8RDA+???

Ok I'm using the onboard audio on my 8RDA+ board and I am using the 4 speaker setup. I want to know if there is a way for me to use the line in and still use my rear speakers. I've tried using a "Y" adapter and had both my audio in and my rear speakers plugged in at the same time. I had to disable the rear speakers to get the line in to work. So does anyone know of any other possible fixes or do I have to disable my rear speakers whenever I want to use audio in?

what if you used the mic in and disabled the +20dba on the mic input so it will function exactly like the line in right?

How would I go about doing that? I was looking through the audio properties and I didn't see any options to try it with.

er hehe then don't worry about the +20dba thing i said before just plug your input into the mic jack, then you still have the 2 front and 2 rear, because the mic jack is only used for 5.1

Whenever I plug my line in audio through my mic jack I get a loud hissing noise. How would I disable the +20db setting?

well i built an 8rda+ system for a friend and got everything running ok, and played around with the onboard audio, so i can't really tell you, im only thinking logically, but maybe if you open up your software mixer, there should be a recording volume adjust, turn it way down and you might not hiss so much. but if the +20dba is still enabled then you'll get good volume too maybe (if i had the software id try and find it for you but im typeing blind)
