There is no facility in the Vreg for any ajustments of VDD.

Just seen this at Planet 3DNow! Forums ...

http://www.planet3dnow.de/vbulletin/...5&pagenumber=6

Hi!

This german EPoX tech answered a question of a customer and wrote, that Vdd setting will be a feature in a future BIOS version for the 8RDA+ !

Is this just a fake or could this be possible?

I think the E-Mail in no fake, because I also have had contact with this Epox-Support, and its the same "Mail-Style" like in the Mails I received.

The style or a genuine mail is easily copied or falsified.

"This is considered presumably in a new Bios. "

Rough translation

If it is possible to include then its to everybodys benefit, personally I dont beleve it is possible.... although id love to be wrong.

The PDf of the Vreg is here if you want to look

To me it looks like if they are gonna put it in the BIOS
it will only work on newer revs of the board (eg. not the 1.0)
since more circuits need to be added to make it work...

(But I would love to be wrong here but I dont think so ).

That would really stink, i hope they dont have to make a new rev. I bought my board right when they had the v1.1 out. I wanted to make sure i had the newest, and if they have a rev, that would stink for everyone who got rev 1.1 and 1.0

i doubt it would be possile w/ a bios update, however i know for a fact that there is a User made bios out for the Abit IT7 Max that allows users to get up to 3.3v on the ram where the default is under 3.0v

Hey Holst, I think you guys have a winner with the 8RDA+. The *only* things that would be great in the 2+ version would be for Vdd to either be adjustable or just increased to 1.7v or 1.75v. Vdimm to go up to the regulator limit of 3.2x volts. And a little better northbridge cooling... maybe a mounting system similar to the 8K9A2+ except also add a fan.

 on the good work done so far.

Have you actually measured the voltage. Mine ( the other vendor )doesn't go higher than 2.92 no matter what the bios setting is.
