Max fan wattage through mobo ?

Mobo is 8KTA3+Pro.

Anyone know what the maximum wattage of fan that can be plugged on this mobo through onboard 3 pin "chassis" connection?

Looking at Thermaltake Smart Fan II, which on max RPM draws 8.4 watts!

Don't even think about it!

The max amperage for the fan headers is around 0.50A, don't attach any fan that sucks up any more juice because the header will burn.
That's from this thread. Just get a proper connector and be done with it and you will be fine.

Thanks Uncle Bob.

Will look after my mobo as first priority.  Could always attach to molex through 3 to 4 pin adaptor, or just buy a 4 pin fan.

Thanks again.

Yup, I believe the Smart fan comes with a 4 to 3 connector with a 1 wire split to the mobo for rpm reporting. Mine did anyway!
