Was told last month...

At the last AMD event in City of Industries, EPOX salesman told me:

1) KT400a will be out February 2003
- would be much the fatest chipset avialable
2) And in a couple months an even better version will be out!

It really would perhaps be best to ask VIA about if such a chipset exists / and / or release dates.

If you read the digi times article Dingle posted it says that VIA havent yet announced that KT400A will be released, just that there "thinking about it"

As you know full well we cant tell you anything about product that may very well never exist..

If you guys ask via for release dates and a full chipset spec then you should be able to work out the release dates and specs of motherboards based on that chipset....

As allways we cant tell you anything.....
Once we can tell you something we will....

I don't believe the KT400A chipset will be better than nForce2. It does not support Dual channel DDR either as it was rumored.

?!? Evan Lieb said they were waiting for the boards, not waiting to review them. Given VIA has yet to make the KT400A announcement, I think pressing EPoX for details on unannounced products is rather futile.

EPoX will make an announcement when they're ready to make an announcement. Until that date, it's unlikely they'll say anything!
