Um, 8rda+ says my ide devices are SCSI?

I know it wasn't like this before, but it is now claiming my IDE devices are SCSI! Very mystereous... anyone have any clues as to why this is?

hi, its because you installed the sw ide driver when installing the nforce 2.0 driver, the sw driver does that, if u say no to installing it it installs the standard nforce ide driver that won't say scsi in the device manager.

Run hdtach on em..let the benchmark tell ya if there is a performance hit. Then just roll back the driver for the hd controller and run hdtach again.

The only problem I found is with dvd and cdrw drives...After installing the nvidia drivers I couldn't burn cdr's from my hard drive and the dvd player had problems ripping data to my hard drive...I uninstalled the ide drivers in device manager and windows reinstalled the default drivers (after 3 reboots) and all problems disappeared...I lost a tiny bit of hard drive performance but nothing to speak of...

There is a guy in this thread who tells how to install the nVidia IDE drivers so they work properly. Are 8RDA+ NForce Drivers Required ?

Basically there is a bug with the 2.00 driver installation and the IDE driver is not to be installed with this. Instead install the driver through device manager and it will work. I had the cd burning problem too but now everything all to the good with the nVidia IDE drivers.
