Why Are Nvidia So Slow Releasing New Nforce2 Driver Updates

hi, am just wondering the last board i had was a via board, and via was always releasing new 4 in 1 drivers like every few weeks, yet it appears the nforce drivers get released something like every year, lol

i dunno if a update will make my machine any quicker but i like the thought updates are doing me good.

No need to update what already works good. I have no issues with the latest 2.0 drivers. If it aint broken dont fix it. Unless its a new vid driver or bios

Via's issue

I believe it could be 1-3 things:

1: Their sw is so buggy they have to keep updating it.
2: Their hardware is so buggy they have to keep coming up with workarounds.
3: Connected to # 2 ( but not entirely their fault- as some hw vendors/ manufacturers do not follow spec's), alot of units sold/ hence more configurations/problems to resolve.

Take your pick, or make a compilation...........:-D

To be fair, I will state that I believe there will be more drivers written for th NF2 than the NF1 series, if only because it is selling alot better than than it's predecessor, which in turn will have issues like #3 above( vendors/units/more configs).

Send a message via ICQ to sirtoby

my guess would be that they have loads of issues that has come up right now and rather than giving out small fixes for this and that they'll release a new driver pack soon fixing all (or most) of the issues..

just a guess though. knowing how good they have been with the gfx drivers I wouldn't dare to believe anything else than that they will put out some good drivers for the nf2 as well..
