Hard drive LED not working on 8RDA+

Never has worked, I'm sure I've got the right pins, yes I've flipped over the connector. Even tried the corresponding pins on the other row of them, tried the wrong pins (the ones for turbo led), tried everything and no luck.

I was wondering since its software controlled if this is possibly a bios issue with some older hard drives? Hard drive is a 120gig maxtor 5400/2mb.

Also the nvidia sw ide driver, whats the deal with it? does it just not work well with the epox board specifically? I know it gives me hell (constant freezes) if I install it, but it brings the cpu utilization of my hard drive from around 40% down to about 5%!!! Any plans to fix this for the epox?

Nothing wrong with Nvidia SW IDE controller driver.

Get v2.00 - run UDP - then re-install IDE/ATAPI driver as Nvidia Nforce MCP2 contoller.

If you do not do this you will get HD corruption and page fault errors.

But this is really an important feature...

How can they omit a feature like this?

I certainly hope they would fix this problem in the next BIOS release.

So there is no fix as of now right?
