Weird problem

Hello Everyone, Ooo my first post ere

System Specs

8RDA+
Radeon 9700 Pro
2x256 XMS 3200

I've just got a 2100 Tbred B core to replace my 2400 Tbred and I am having trouble achieving anything over 168FSB

If I put the 2400 in I can get 10.5x192 24/7 1.6V Stable under full load

But if I put the 2100 in and try anything over 168 or up the vcore above 1.85 the siren goes off. I am sure that if I could get the vcore higher the cpu will oblige but how?

Currently at 13.5x168 with 1.825Vcore

Screenie

I know that a 525mhz overclock aint to be sniffed at but I want just more

I am suspecting my 430W Enermax is the cause what do you guys think

Hmm. Sounds like you could be having a similar problem to mine. My vcore adjustment on the 8RDA seems to be a bit screwy. I have the same T-Bred.

This may sound weird... but, try reloading windows. I know when I've switched stuff around a WinXP repair did wonders eliminating probs.

I don't have your board.... but there may be issues with default voltage of the CPU. Just a side question, does your 2400+ have the same default voltage as your 2100+? Maybe there's something in the bios that doesn't like running beyond a certain amount over stock... I'm just taking a wild shot in the dark.

I have a tbredA that was stock @1.5v... my AT7 annoyed me because it didn't allow a vcore over 1.75v... I painted one of the bridges, to raise the default vcore, and then the bios let me have up to 1.85v.

Both cpu's have the same default voltage

I dont know whether to get a new psu or a new cpu, I know a few people having this same problem, tis very perplexing
