Prometeia + 8rda = way off temps?

i just installed my prommie today and wow... i was expecting -10 C temps seeing the thing do -48 without load... and boy was i nervous when i saw 15C reported in the bios...

is anyone having the same problem with supercooled cpus? especially with dielectric grease or neoprene in the socket how is the sensor going to get an accurate temp?

thanks

Unless you allow the sensor to poke through the insulation, then it's not going to see the correct temperature.

Some temperature sensing chips also do odd things when the temperature goes out of their sensing range.

As aidan says 15*c lets us see that your insocket insulation is working well.

As the Xp internal diode is hard wired to the boards overtemperature protection you cannot read the diode.
