I think RAMGUY got confused... I tried the ram on different 8rda/+ board.. and also they are my RMA back *supposed to be* the good quality ram. Because it is capable to perform close or more than its promised rating, I didn't RMA those sticks and I shouldn't.

wouldn't recommend Corsair XMS just because its price tag. Twinmos w/ winbond chip is cheaper and high quality DDR RAM which can perform same as and sometime better than Corsair XMS Series. They both have life-time warranty, but one is $76 and one is $94, which one would you buy? Which one is more attractive you you?

It is not that Corsair produce bad ram, on the contrast, they produce good/high quality ram and that is why I (and many other) purchase them in the first place. However, it doesn't mean other brand is not capable producing same level quality ram at a cheaper price. It is a free market and free compeitition, brand loyalty does not make sense to me.
