Slow down a sec. If you bought ocz PC2700's, shouldn't they be capable of 150 FSB STOCK voltage??? Double check what you got, 'cuz if you paid extra for the performance.... you ain't gettin' it.

You should call the place you got it from and tell them the RAM is NOT performing at 150FSB "as advertised", and you've got a good friend able to run his Crucial cas2.5 PC2100 @ 150FSB using stock voltage, and he didn't pay extra for them.

If they mention voltage, act clueless.... make sure it don't void your warrantee.

They should be capable of 166MHz host clock if PC2700.

They only need to be able to run that speed at 2.5 / 2.6v at the specified CAS latency but with any trace recharge and discharge values. The RMA of memory is a sticky area. They can tell you to retard the timings continually and be within their rights - the claim may be that the timings on the mainboard are too aggressive.

The moral of the story at the end of the day - Buy Micron.

grrr lol. i guess ill just have to try my luck with ram sinks and insane chipset cooling(i think the chipset was half my prob, it seemed to become more stable when i put a 60mm fan blowing on it)....

Who is to say if any of these benchmarks are right? They can be made to show what ever the programer wants! So as i said before i just use them to check changes i make to my personal systems! As such i don't care if they are high or low, i just need to see if the change made any diff. I will keep my info to my self and not bother you or any one else on the group. Sorry if it created a problem for you. Jim
No problem Jim - I think I got a little worked up on the subject because someone just reviewed one of our boards using that edition and won't redo the results for us after he's given the mainboard an award. People will therefore question his integrity as a reviewer. Sorry if I seemed un-naturally fused on that one !!!
