Unhappy 8K3A+ latest bios killed winXP, HELP!

8K3A+ bios 8K3A2B01.BIN
after installing the latest epox bios on my 8k3a+ i was unable to boot to windows XP
after formating the HDisk i am unable to install windows xp (it gets to the format screen then gives error "irq_greater_or_less_than" (not exact msg)
i figured this was something to do with the raid update in the bios because no other bios update has given me any problems.
Although im NOT using the raid and as far as i can tell its turned off in the bios
i tried that f6 boot thing but after the page that ask you which file you like to use it hangs again.
i tried going back to the old bios revisions but the same thing occurs???

has *anyone* got *any* sugestion of how i might resolve this problem.

ps all other harware components have been tested in my spare computer and operate fine.
system has never been overclocked and has been running fine for 6 months before the latest bios update.

Question

Ive been reading elsewhere as no one here will reply to me, and there is a suggestion that this may me because of the usb settings in the bios
quote
"Disable USB mouse support in the BIOS. I dont know how or why it worked but it did for me"
so im going to try that, just thought id mention it for anyone else with the same problem

Tony , you might find the fix here: http://www.xptuneup.com/xptuneup_stopmessages.htm
2nd group of error codes
Stop 0x0000000A or Stop 0xA or IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

I FIXED IT

After changing everything part by part with new components i have found out that the problem was with the RAM!!!! blo#dy kingmax your an expensive brand and you do this 2 me...
oh never mind...

i now have bought a new 1700xp( tbread i think) and have overclocked it to 2000Mhz (2400xp) by unlocking the multipliers (which strangely had no laserlock???) and setting the ram to 133 and the fsb to 166 and the cpu multiplier to 12* 166 = 1992mhz ram = 333mhz which is 2700 like it supposed to be (im not killing any more ram)

anyway i just thought id post to say that the bios had nothing to do with the problem (i hope)
