8RDA+ System Devices

I just got my 8RDA+ and the installation went ok. My system devices seem to be a little strange, I just want to check them against everyone else's. Also, are my USB controllers installed correctly?

This is how I installed XP:

1. Clean install of XP
2. Loaded Nforce NIC drivers only so I could download SP1a
3. Loaded SP1a
4. Installed Nvidia 2.03 drivers

My system devices now look like the attached file.

Ignore the Microsoft USB controller, those are the ports on my kbd.

my mobo resources are the same way, does your comp boot up properly without any problems?

Yah, it boots up and runs ok. I just think its a little strange. Is anyone else seeing the same results?

Are your USB controllers named the same thing?

Well it seems I figured out the USB controller names. Those are the correct names if the Microsoft USB 2.0 drivers get installed, which is what should be installed.

I'm still unsure about the system devices, anyone else care to open up theirs and take a peak?

All my system devices are the same, but you need to check out the exclamation mark (!) on motherboard resources. It suggests a problem.

Yah, I saw that. I'm not sure whats up with it. Windows says it can't start it because there's one like it already running.

I've tried removing it, and it goes away, but comes back a few reboots later.

I'm not too concerned about it, it hasn't seemed to cause any problems.

That system resources is just for the ps/2 keyboard connector. If you plug in a ps/2 kb, the "!" will go away. There will be a working device that uses the same resources as your flagged device.

In short, it's not really a problem -- except that its annoying.
