Unhappy problem with 8K9a2+ new bios

Hi I am what u would call a newbie to this but I was wondering if anyone has had this problem I tried the new bios it flashed fine but for some reason my OS wont start it will start but when my desktop comes out I get a blue screen with a error msg. from windows and it starts doing a memory dump. I tried safe mode but I get the same msg. I did load optimal settings but I get the same msg. So I had to go back and install the old bios any feedback on this matter will be most appreciated.

I am running windowsXP pro
