No S3 Resume with 8RDA+ 3129 Update

Has anyone else had a problem with the updated BIOS (3129)on the 8RDA+ not resuming from S3 (suspend to ram)?

It worked on the previous BIOS (until you overclocked).

I thought it might be a problem with the memory not getting enough power but changing this doesn't help.

Any suggestions?

I have same problem. I've tried everything, hopefully there comes a fix for this in a new bios.

S1 works ok. I also have problems to use internet when tried to use S3 and then booted as it won't go on. But the internet won't work, I must open the cover, take off Realtek card and put back and turn on. NOTHING else helps for this I've tried EVERYTHING else..

Yeah, I mentioned this S3 problem just days after 3129 came out. Should be easy to fix and test.

As for internet, do you get a BSOD IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL error ? I found setting that setting BIOS reset ESCD to enabled cleared out this. Also since then I've done a Cmos clear.

Rolled back to 3117 BIOS. S3 works even when RAM is running at 238MHZ.

I don't have that IRQ prob. But just noticed that cdrwdvd and cdrom won't work.. Have to try lower fsb. I need that Southbridge Vmod !!!!!

I wasn't able to get my CD-RW working either at first. Took me a lot of messing around to get it working. I made sure that the IDE channel wasn't sharing IRQ's and all seems to be well.

I don't have conflicts in irq's. But I also switched back to 3117 bios and with that S3 works ok. I also re-installed IDE2, AGAIN, and switched pci clk to 64. So far everything works ok now =/.

Sorry for digging this thread up, but I was having the same problem with S3 and 1/29 BIOS, so I switched back to the 1/17 BIOS. Now I upgraded again to play with FSB and S3 works now with 1/29. So you may want to flash the 1/17 in, make sure it works and then flash back to the 1/29 and check,

Thanks for the info. I've got mine working now but not sure if it was the fact I changed my Geforce drivers as it was taking ages to boot into windows or that I've changed my core and memory power settings. I was using the 42.82 drivers but I uninstalled them and I am currently using the microsoft certified drivers. All seems to be well for now.
