Suggestion for future projects...

I've just seen this: there is a "concurrent" that has hidden BIOS settings (for advanced users) that can be accessed by pressing CTRL-F1 in the main BIOS menu.

Makes me wonder if one day Epox can add this feature for newer motherboards, with "special" settings for us, overclockers. That may include settings like voltage modification (Vdd for example), temperature sensor "option" so that one can choose wheter to use in-die sensor or external sensor and other things like that.

If you want to see this, open up HardOCP and look for the newest motherboard review on the top 3 list (it's a KT400 board).

This would be really nice if Epox managed to do it.

I have not seen the review but my guess is it is a GPOOP (have to follow the rules ..)
There is no need to push xtra buttons to get the same features on the RDA+, RGA+ and my guess is that the same goes for the new boards.

I think you didn't understand my point:

What I meant is that Epox can make something like this to "hide" more advanced/dangerous settings, so that "normal" users can't mess with what they shouldn't. In the hidden settings they could add those "dangerous" settings that we would love to have.

But again, just my suggestion. (For example, if they could make a new board with the hability of choosing between internal/external diode reading, they could put this option in the hidden section, so no more tons of calls from newbies that shouldn't even pressed DEL at post ).

Sorry nfrenay

My mistake
I can see your point now and agree.
There are settings that can be messed with that
are not for first timers.

Yes, that's it... So the power users can have advanced options and they only leave normal settings available to the first timers!

I always had this idea in my mind but I though it wasn't possible to make it (with current BIOS software) but I guess it is! )
