Keyboard Problem

I'm looking for some guidance/information if anyone can help please.

8RDA+ running at 192X12 dual mode. Zalman HS on NB and original NB h/s on SB. Both passive and Vdd unmodded at 1.58 via MBM.

The problem is that when I reboot the machine at the stage it posts it will not recognise the keyboard. I have to push reset immediately after it goes through detecting the drives let it repost and then everything is fine.

Also if I run at 200X11.5 I start to get some really bad crackling coming through the speakers.

Keyboard is PS2 and I've tried this. Connected through KVM and keyboard works flawlessly on other machine which is only slightly overclocked.

First time I noticed this was soon after I put on the Zalman. The NB looked slightly concave so there is a possibility that the contact now (with AS3) isnt as good as the original H/S. Before I drag it all out of the case again though could someone confirm that the NB overheating would/could cause these sorts of probs.

Thanks in advance

Id want to test it at stock speeds first.

Are you sure this is overcloking related?

I wouldnt expect NB temperature to cause the keyboard to stop working, I suppose it might but its an off problem.

The sound problem you have is more likely to be a temperature problem.

You never get fed up being right

Still the same at stock speeds. I'll have to look elsewhere for the problem

I've been getting the same problem lately. When the machine boots it hangs on POST code 63 for about 20s. Haven't found a way to fix it yet, other than turning off the machine. Hitting reset doesn't do anything for me =\

I've also had the keyboard stop responding after leaving the machine for awhile.

This might help the northbridge concave problem.

Guide For Lapping NorthBridge. (Click "MODS" button on the left)

*You void the warranty and blah, blah, blah*

On the other hand, the people that have done it have had a nice temp drop along with a nice FSB increase
