I personally advocate the use of
Kingston HyperX3500c2
Corsair XMS3500c2
TwinMos 3200

Some folks like some better than others, but they usually are pretty similar in performance.
I personally would get 2 x256 to be able to utilize dual channel myself ( there is not a TON of difference, but it is there and has been proven)

Those brands are all good, and should serve you well...... the only BIG difference is the prices, last I knew the TwinMos was the cheapest with the Kingston Next and the Corsair as the most expensive, but I haven't looked lately.

Good Luck

I would say Corsair XMS3500 2x256, they give you dual channal DDR, the second choice would be Kingston HyperX 512 2x256.

Well I have 2x256 XMS3500c2, and have had 2 8RDA+ boards.... both of them have been over 230FSB/synch Dual channel at 4-2-2-2 timings with these sticks in it.... 1 of them did it completely stock.

Your mileage may vary.
