8rda+ NO NETWORK CARD problem - HELP!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HELP. I am going nuts. I lost my onboard nci device for some reason!

All I get error code1 - in the drivers list is that the jedixxx network files are unknown!!
or all i get is error code 31 in device manager saying the card is not working properly.

I have enabled it in the bios and it uses irq 11 on bootup.

Still after 4 months of no network issues , it is now suddenly a problem. I think it started when I installed the latest bios so I wnet back to the march bios with no success!

I have dropped fsb back to standard 133- I was running at 210 before.
I reinstall the nforce drivers on the original cd.
I uninstalled and manually selected the windows 2000 driver etc.
I downloaded and installed the latest 2.03 nvidia drivers
Still all i get is the nvidia controller with a yellow mark against it saying this device is not prperly configured.

Please help.
I have spent hours on this already.
Thanks

I have had near enough the same problem.

I didn't spend too much time trying to fix it. I just installed PCI NIC, instead.

If I manage to find the cause I will let you know...

My onboard nic stopped working last week , I installed a Realtek pci fast ethernet adapter and it works just as well. I got 4 months out of the onboard nic , the last 3 months are after I voided the warranty by doing the vdd mod. I guess it burnt out. I see that the new bios mentions :
Fixed NVLAN MAC address and 1394 GUID erased after BIOS updated on C17/C18D universal BIOS.
I'll try that this weekend and see if I can get the onboard nic working again , if it doesn't work I'll live. We were warned about the voltage mod so no bad feelings here.

I am running a voltage mod, BUT as long as the bootup sees it and windows detects it, how can it me burned out?
