![]() I just flashed my BIOS from the march 5, 2003 version to the january 29, 2003 version (to hopefully fix my AGP 1.0/2.0 problems). The flash went fine, the computer rebooted and... my monitor never came back on, I got a C1 code and the computer started beeping. After rebooting it still won't come on, I get a C1 and it beeps. Sigh. First off, what does C1 mean? The manual is very vague and says "detect memory". Well, these sticks were working before. I tried booting without them and then with only one of them - no luck. C1. Oh, my sticks are 2x256MB Kingston PC3000 HyperX DDR. I've currently got all my components unplugged except the CPU, RAM, primary HD and video card. Each worked before the flash. I've unplugged my power cord, reset the CMOS jumper for 10minutes+ and even taken out the battery for a few minutes. Nothin'. Any clues? After you have cleared the CMOS, power and boot up system, hold down insert key, tap delete key and try to get into the bios, if so, load optimized defaults, save and exit bios, then let it boot to windows.

Turn off system, remove JLCK jumper near power to motherboard connector, remove all but one stick of memory in slot one, clear the CMOS, power and boot up system, hold down insert key, tap delete key and try to get into the bios, if so, load optimized defaults, save and exit bios, then let it boot to windows.
