| 8k5a3+ "disk failure" and "plugged disk detected" warnings When I boot into windows and go to the Disk Management to signature the two new discs the process fails, and I get a error and then the HighPoint Raid Management Software returns an error Warning Disk Failure at Controller1, Channel1, Master and also Warning Plugged disk detected (Controller1, Channel1, Master) I have tried having just one drive connected, on both Master and Slave, but still no luck what so ever. Both drives appear fine in the BIOS, and are both IBM 180GB drives, brand new, nothing on them, I am using Rounded ATA 100-133 cables. There is also a 2GB western digital on the standard IDE channel the has the OS on it. I currently have Windows XP on , but the exact same errors appear in Windows 2000. Hope someone can help.
