Question No USB Controller

Hi all. I hope someone can help.
I have an EPOX 8KHAL+ with an AMD XP1700 system.

I have recently purchased a Dig camera and tried to transfer pictures. It was then that I discovered a problem with my USB ports. (I have never used them before so the problem has only just come to light).

In 'Control Panel' - 'Device Manager', there is no 'USB Controller' installed. When I use the Epox software that came with the board (S/No 6070010B01028 2002.05.10) it will not allow me to install the USB software. I downloaded the USB software USBf_110 and VIAUSB2V2_0_2 from the EPOX site and it will not let me install these either. I get a 'Registry Key Error' or 'Unable USB device ID' What is the problem? I need my USBs.

I have checked the BIOS and the USB is 'enabled'. The 'Microsfot System information' software also tells me that there are no USBs installed.

Thanks if you can help

Yes. I checked it yesterday and it was enabled. If it was not enabled would the Control Panel still not display the USB controller?

I have rechecked and I am an Idiot. I checked the 'Assign IRQ for USB' and it was enabled. I have now checked the peripherals and seen that the 'On Chip USB Controller' was disbaled for ALL. I have now Enabled them and Plug and Play has installed the Drivers. I'll update the drivers with the new patches. Thanks for all of your prompting.
