Twinmos PC3200 and 8RDA+

Does anyone know which stick of Twinmos PC3200 w/Twinmos chips works better - 50B or 50D?
What is the diference in reaching high FSB and mem timings?

Now I have 50B sticks and have a chance to switch them for 50D sticks. Is it worth it?

I only know that the ones with Winbond chips are the ones to have. At a guess I'd say the D revision would be better, but I have no idea.

Sorry, this probably wasn't much help

I'm running a similar set-up but I just checked and mine are also the 50B. Not much help, sorry.

I have 2x256MB sticks of 50D which do up to 217mhz FSB DC...

my new 512MB stick of Twinmos with Winbond chips only does 208mhz FSB at the moment... They require a bit of burning in because my Twinmos sticks wouldn't do 200mhz before I burned them in...

My twinmos 256mb 50D sticks will run at around 210mhz at 5,3,2,2 @2.64V- haven't tried higher because of VDD probs

I did some testing with mem/FSB async with my Twinmos sticks in DC.
When I put memory to 125% of FSB, memory goes to 225 Mhz, with FSB at 180Mhz.
When I put memory to 80%, my FSB goes up to 220 (mem at 176).

So , I concluded that my memory can do 225 FSB, and my 8RDA+ can do 220FSB.
Therefore, why can I reach only 202 FSB stable when running in sync (100% FSB/MEM ratio)?

Because in sync it is stressing your NB and SB harder than a-sync... Your motherboard may not be able to handle all the way up to 220+ FSB so it begins to crap out at 202 FSB...

I know my motherboard can handle up to 217mhz FSB DC with 1.74v VDD... with default VDD it can only do 203mhz FSB DC or so without flickering...

Burn them in ???
Can you explain what that means because my Twinmos Winbond RAM can hardly do 202 MHz and I have tried Twinmos with M-Tec chips (333MHz) and I reached 207 sync ???

Unfortunately I have std 2x256Mb TwinMossPC3200.
I can set them as low as 3-3-3-2.0, hit the 2's with the RAS and that, I get sirens everytime!
Scored best in 3Dmarks as in my sinature below!

Yeah... burn them it using MemTest86 test#5 at your current highest speed and timings... use 2.9v and let them go overnight or longer if possible...

Then boot into windows and test that they run Prime95 for a while and 3Dmark2001 then go back to Memtest86 test#5 and burn them in at 5mhz higher... repeat till you reach your max...
