8rda+ Opti mouse stays ON after shutdown

Hi all !

I wonder if someone has figured out why my mouse stays lit even after i shut down my system??
The only way to switch it off is to turn off the power switch of my psu but as soon as i switch my psu back on it lights up again.

Any solutions ??/...maybe a setting in bios im missing ?

BTW the mouse is a logitech opti (M/BJ-69) non-cordless usb connected via ps2 adapter

regards

Same happens here, and has done for the past 15 months or so - since switching to Epox boards :nervous:

The USB and PS2 sockets are provided with standby power, to allow for wakeup on keypress/mouse move/modem ring/whateverelseyoucanthinkof.

One side effect is that optical mice seem to stay lit up.

I modded my optical mouse to use an IR LED. This wasn't because the red LED stayed on all the time, but because it didn't track very well on the blue surface that is my mousemat.

I use a Logitech MX500 on my "Project PC" and an MX700 on my main one. Both stay lit 24/7. I don't enable the option to turn the computer on with keyboard/mouse, but it would be nice if the mice would "switch-off" (although the red glow around the mouse on the mouse mat I have does look rather wicked when I've had a few too many to drink!).

Why not just leave the computers on and have them Fold for Team 45?
