I promised Daniel ~ and Patti ~ a great steak dinner years ago. Dislocation this, teeth needed fixing that, a little chemo for good luck and the blur of modern living postponed this event beyond all belief. We shall chomp the nice vittles in the near future!

Salivation is not necessary until early March. Been months since my last steak, I'm almost a vegetarian most of the time. Which brings me to the main reason for this topic. Yo, case badges here!

The spot price of gold closed at $986 in New York today. Too rich for me. But an ounce of silver ended the day @ $20.68. It cost about $10.50 in late '05. See what's going on here? If you were smart you could buy a pound of silver here and there, but here and now is better. Up 94 cents in one day. That's a spectacular move for silver. It's not that the metal is appreciating that fast--it's that the dollar is sinking that quickly. Trade paper for intrinsic value. Hint.

Weren't we supposed to have flying cars years ago? Drunk flying is potentially far more hazardous than drunk driving. Some cars try to fly with idiots at the wheel. This usually ends very badly.
