Honestly, I typically get my daily dose of funny from reruns of Futurama. I hear they are renewing it? That would be excellent.

I want Arrested Development back, though. Fox, why oh why do you have some insipid reality shows when you could have Arrested Development.

Came across Futurama information. Please see:
http//:Futurama: The Beast With a Billion Backs (DVD) **** | Screenjabber .

Might buy it myself.

Glad that you received your badges! I don't understand the "*******" reference, but that's OK, there's a LOT I don't comprehend.

It is a reference to the north end of a south bound mule. Don't know where the censorship came from. Seems somebodies ISP is a prude!

Anyone watch the Red Green 30 minute televised entertainments? It's difficult to explain why I'm amused by it. I'm thinking about restricting the use of my tv. And possibly not bothering to digitalize it next February. Just rent DVD's sometimes and skip the programming of what's left of my brain.

Had a "lobster tail" at a Red Lobster restaurant recently. It looked like a fifth of a brain. Two bites and I was done. My companion said that her's tasted like lighter fluid. Ugh, I'm not going back to a Red Lobster in this lifetime. I'm not a big seafood fan, less so now.

Or get cable or direct tv, George you'd LOVE the science and history channels. Go HD and treat your self! Now George...it will be good for ya! .. or are you saving that for you old age? ":O}

Having seen a bit of the history and science channels on other folk's tv's, I agree, I like 'em a lot. I'm toying with the concept of not having tv after the switch to all digital next February. The medium rots your brain, IMHO, no matter how good the programming is. And I don't have much left to rot!

Only lack of use rots your brain....But drugs can be of significant value when used in combination with mindless acceptance of unproven assumptions....such as "tv rots your brain"...LOL

(I'm sure you know what best for George! ":O}

I went to Red Lobster "once" about 15yrs ago.I know exactly what you're talking about. I'm from the coastal NW where seafood is plentiful and good and as for chain seafood places, not many are very good. A few are, Anthony's Home Port comes to mind, but any good Steak House is a good choice. Where there is good steak-there is good seafood. That is usualy true anywhere in the country.

A very old friend visited the area for a few days. I see her very rarely so I wanted to mark the occasion with a great meal. The pain when we discovered that one of The Keg restaurants didn't open early enough for her to make her flight was considerable. We hoped for a good feedbag experience at one of the Red Lobster chain instead. Ugh. The Blushing Lobster was about 20% less expensive and nowhere near the yumminess standard of The Keg. Sigh. Live and learn.

Television tranquilizes you. Which sets you up for the bombardment of commercials that often make you feel that you MUST purchase something that you don't really need and can't afford--just to make the hollowness go away. And the gaping hole in your life is only incompletely and temporarily filled by spending money.
And it's more insidious than that. We're urged to go along with the "master plan" too. Most master plans urged upon us on tv don't benefit the individual. Public tv breaks this mold, but only around the edges. The "you will obey the Corporatocracy" message is loud and clear in the main. IMHO.

I don't know where it's coming from, (maybe OpenDNS?) but it happened again. In a different thread, I ended with this: "robbie?-as in AOA staff? OOOH *****!"
I didn't put the * at the end. I wrote- OOOH s h * t.
w/out the spaces and when posted all *'s came out.

Your badge maker has a quality control problem with the sticky he uses. Mine has fallen off my machine! I thought about demanding my money back, but just glued it back on. I didn't think my lawyer would get off his lazy *ss for a case (pun intended) with so little profit potential.

Hmm, we don't have a "Smilie" for "un"-drinking. Looks like you're on your own when giving up the bottle. Wait a minute, AA meetings are available almost everywhere. They're not everyone's cup of tea but they can help a lot.

Were always on our own, giving up the bottle just makes that a bit more apparent to some of us...nothing like pain to ground a person in the here and now and get our attention....":O}

The sudden absence of the accustomed intoxicant is noticed, boy howdy! Grounded with pain, ground into the ground by your own foolishness. Buying back your soul, that hurts. You'd think once would be enough, but some of us are "smarter" and need to go through it after dumbing/numbing ourselves with all of the drunking and drugging substances. Thank goodness that I speak only from theory, not practice!
