| Other than agreeing with Massa Boosh's wiretap without a warrant policy and preventing the telcos from being prosecuted for umm, I don't know, violating the Fourth Amendment, the guy is doing great. This is a large fly in the otherwise pretty darn good ointment. It's ALWAYs going to be something, Jane.

| Read a couple interesting articles in the local paper today. The first was a news item pointing out that the Bush Admin in its final fifteen days applied a 300% tariff on the import of Roquefort cheese from France. Apparently, that's their retaliation for the French objection to the import of high hormone US beef. (Sounds objectionable to me, but I guess we're just stuck with it .) It seems they'd previously bestowed a 100% tariff, however, the small town of Roquefort-sur-Soulzon toughed out the financial hit, and so his Dubyaness felt a heavier stick was called for. No doubt, we'll nail those infernal French yet!The second was a well written editorial that pointed out the claims and self-adulation of the Republican party as being Reganist in their economic and government principles, actually run entirely counter to the philosophy's of said gentleman. He pointed out that in contrast to the approach taken by Regan, the behavior of the Republican Party and Bush administration over the last eight years can best be characterized as a grab for power. It's just a darned shame that such a large portion of the population was so non-sensical as to vote the mongrel back in -- what did he call his 1% lead? Oh, yes, I remember now -- a mandate! But then again, why would anyone suppose the general population to be any more intelligent than Dubya himself? Mustn't forget the founding intent of the electoral college -- too bad it never seems to work as intended !

| This seems one of those times when all we can do is wait for the "Time" to fulfil itself. Everything over looked will now press forward. I fear The new Pres. will need a thousand thumbs in a hundred bursting dikes....

| You got to respect a job well done -- Dubya's clearly the man! Exxon Mobil sets record with $45.2 billion profit - Yahoo! News Of course, Wall Street and a very successful and deliberate oil futures gambit didn't hurt !

| We can have the very rich or we can have well fed well educated healthy children, we can't have both. The Rich once in power will not permit that.... we are now in the very midsts of choosing between the two... though very few will admit it...

| Obama seems basically sincere, this alone would distinguish him from the many.

| Hoo boy, I hate to say it. Yet it looks like it's a meet the new boss, same as the old boss situation. Silly of me to expect any change of gears. Yes, he's different and already has done laudable things. Yet the main horror show seems to be asserting itself again.

| I don't think he's figured out the Robber Barons quite yet... Never ask a rich man what is best for the poor man... if he gave a CRAP he wouldn't be all that rich and there would be something besides money that distinguishes him. The advice of the rich is ALWAYS given in their best interests. That and he seems to think we can build a new foundation without bring past criminals to justice, this is not possible as "Though all men live in ignorance before mystery, they need not live in darkness... Justice is foundation and ETERNAL."

| As much as I want to see those wunnerful "people" swing from the yardarm, looks like it's not going to happen. God, I'll really hate it if I have to address Mr Obama as "Mass...!!" His lawyer said "the Bush policy of secretiveness before transparency is just fine with us." That doesn't go well with "yes, extraordinary rendition is fine with us, too." Beginning to smell a rat, oh joy.

| We are required by the Senate's ratification of Geneva Conventions to investigate and prosecute possible crimes against humanity and war crimes. No gotverdamt Administration is above the law. It seems that Obama thinks he and Bush are exempt from the above. Look mohuncher, we've had it with screamingly obvious criminals in charge around here. USA as ongoing criminal enterprise must be stopped!
