Who is to know if the charges against megaUpload reflect a genuine scofflaw or that the site WAS bad? If SOPA and PIPA are enacted, sites will be squelched because somebody simply doesn't like them. Freedom is becoming an ancient letter hereabouts.

I've heard that linux community came up with better implemented security in it's latest Linux Mint Gold version, it's actually preventing the user to log in, thus posing 0 risk in contamining the computer with malware! Well done to the open source community!

Nothing gives them power, they've decided to grab it with both claws. It's ironic, the former parts of the Soviet empire gain more freedom while the former Yankee empire collapses under the weight of totalitarianism.

For some shameful reason, Americans are in love with punishment. We can't get enough of it. This kid messed up, but if Britain allows his transfer to the US, he'll be looking through bars for a long, long time. Same if Assange gets grabbed by Sweden, he'll then be "accidentally" shipped to the US and will never get out of prison. Punishment, it's the American dream.

After years of good low cost service provided for an "emergency-centric" cell phone, TracFone ripped me off for $125. My advise is to avoid this outfit.
