That's a strong statement, please cite references (something other than the TPP concerns I raised above).

I draw my conclusion after years of observation, YMMV. My more liberal Senator seems to be slowly succumbing to the rich person's disease, what a shame. You might have a look at Congressman Alan Grayson's opinion on just about everything, I have yet to argue against him. As a Dem he doesn't badmouth the President, but I'm happy to. I am not a racist, I don't hold with the Right's criticism, I come from hard Left, as best I can.

The temptation to cash in on power when you come from humble beginnings must be greater than I'll ever know. Most with comfortable back grounds seem to have little quibble with a crush the little guy philosophy.

Duff beer for me, Duff beer for you, I'll have a Duff, you have one too. The Simpsons certainly had their moments.

I ordered a couple of Fritz Lang directed oldies, "The Man Who Knew Too Much" and "The Ministry of Fear." Not inexpensive DVD's, but it's always something.

Saw Safety Last last night. Wow, 1923, that's even older than me. Landmark movie, or what?

Shimata, I made a mistake. Alfred Hitchcock directed "The Man Who Knew Too Much," his distinctive style hadn't gelled by 1934, but it's entertaining all the same. Peter Lorre in his first English language appearance.

And it's still a great flick if you like the Beatles.

I liked "The Book Thief," but it doesn't create the rich tapestry that the book does.

The Vet who makes house calls turned out to be a very nice person and a good Veterinarian. Unfortunately Sunny, my cat had to die and was taken away from us. She was a very sweet cat and I'll miss her forever.

Very sorry to learn of the loss of Sunny. It's important to have friends and pets can be the best. I hope you look into a possible new friend, the SPCA perhaps (somebody that needs a family)?

Thank you for the empathy, Trevor. Sunny was rescued from the Pound, some butthead declawed her, which not only removes a cat's fingers, but also makes it impossible for them to walk properly for the rest of their lives. I'll probably get another cat, but it's too soon. She was a real sweetheart, unlike the cat I had before her. Yet I loved her too. Thanks for noticing!

70F in Seattle yesterday, and it snowed here on April Fool's Day (really) around ten years ago. 70F, a step in the right direction!

Thanks for the invitation George, how ya do'in? I see NJ Christie has a brand new problem, apparently diverted Port Authority funds (personal slush fund) to repair NJ roads, don't you just love self serving politicians -- after all, he couldn't possibly sink his "budget responsible" aura in NJ by raising taxes to cover necessary infrastructure repair, right! Pretty sure that POS is going down, just a question of time! How about that garbage Governor in Wisconsin -- the union busting guy that apparently influenced the recall election by manipulating/coordinating outside campaign activity? Don't you just love it?

Still, outside of all that, how you do'in guy?

Sorry for the delay in replying. You'd think that the shape of Christie's and Walker's faces ALONE would be more than enough to keep them out of office forever plus a lifetime. But no, the "Conservatives" have enough money to keep these two creatures propped up past the day they both die (heaven for-fend) of natural causes.
