| LOL if they keep making chipsets like this I'm sure you will The bad things come with the enthusiast industry. We're usually all smart enough to figure things out anyways ![]()

| International version included this time instead of a different package I'd assume. Can anyone compare actual file versions? i.e. verify that nothing else has been updated (I'm stuck at work and it sucks)?

| I've got a 8RDA3+ and I've installed v2.42 drivers. It's installed fine, even tho I only unistalled the other drivers (v2.03). However, do I still need to install my C-Media drivers? I have sound without installing these drivers tho. Do the nVidia v2.42 drivers support the C-Media, or does it work by fluke? Thanks for your time, Blackmyst!

The IDE driver problem is a relatively minor issue on an otherwise great high-performance chipset. I'd still take nForce2 over any current VIA chipset. The MS IDE drivers default to PIO mode. If you go under advanced settings on both the Primary and Secondary controller channels, you can set Ultra DMA mode which performs much better.

| the SW drivers I kept installed with 2.42, they are ALOT better for me, this is on a win2k system, I know many people with issues on XP tho ;/

| Nvidia pulled them from their site. The FTP link is still working but if you go to download them from the website, only the 2.03's are available. Linky Quote:
