Getting Win98SE to work with Nforce Drivers on 8RDA+

I was having problems getting any version of Nvidia Nforce2 drivers to work with Windows98SE on 8RDA+.
Always on Reboot of installing drivers it would lockup in some way.

I found a great post were "~crucibelle~" mentioned the following:

"It's not really that hard. All you do is extract the drivers (version 2.0) to a temp folder on your hard drive, delete the "display" folder, then run the installer. Installed just fine and my 8RDA+ runs very well with Win98SE. "


Now, I didn't think this would be that easy but I did the above and wolla! all installed & rebooted and works.

I thought I would make this a new post as it seems a bit hard to find the info & it works!

By the way I used the Nforce v2.41 drivers with a Epox 8RDA+ revision mb v1.1 with Windows98SE.

Yeah once you know what to do 98se and the 8rda+ work great together.

rocky500 -did you have any problems with the 2.41 drivers?, maybe it is just me who has loads of problems with them. I msut be special as I had issues with the 2.03 driver but all works with the 2.00 drivers.

I'm also running Win98SE/2.41 drivers on my 8RDA+ without any problems.

I did a bunch of CD burning last night without any "hiccups" or glitches. Work fine for me!

Hmmm..

I've been running 2.03 for a few months now, with no hassles. Wonder if it's worth trying the 2.41's? Specially after all the negative responses to this release.
