8RDA+ will no BOOT

Just got this board after reading lots of good things about it. Stuck xp1700 and ATI 9500 and loaded winxp on it...so far so good.

Next I start playing with the cpu multiplier...got to 10 x 200 easy. When I tried 11 x200, it will not boot. No video and the LED will show C1 and then freeze at AA. After about 5 sec MB will start beeping.

Figuring I need to lower my multiplier, but I can't get into the BIOS menu.

I tried resetting the CMOS but no luck.
Tried booting with the insert key
Pulled the JCLK jumper
Moved the memory to different slots
Reseated CPU heat sink

Any ideas to fix this and BTW what is the meaning of AA post code?

try holding down delete key whilst its booting, and it should put you back into the bios screen.

also I hope  u  r going to increase vcore to at least 1.85 before attempting that sort of oclk?

doctoromeo - you meant hold insert on startup and then press delete after it has cleared the fault?
1.75 Vcore should be more than enough for 2.2ghz

Thats an ols article buddy.

That was about the bios corruption that most ppl got but it was fixed on the newer revisions.

What board do you have (revision, northbridge (A1 -A2-A3 etc.)

When the bios corruption occures you have a DEAD bios that only replacing will solve or if you have someone with an identical board you can do a HOT FLASH.

Ok go here and at the bottom of the page are instuctions about saving the bios but its not 100% .
Go to where it says" bios gone wrong etc."

bios page

goodluck

drain all power by unplugging system and removing its battery for half an hour. then reassemble and clear cmos? try other memory. say ddr333 or ddr266? try one stick of memory in all slots. not to be funny but try a couple of times as first time may fail when a later attempt will succeed.

Tried all of the above. Was hoping the newly acquired pc2700/512m stick from BEST BUY would coax it back to life.

Still dead in the water...but thanks everyone for all your advise.

I still cannot find out out what error code AA means...
