9700 Pro vs. Ti 4600

I currently have a Ti 4600 and have the opportunity to purchase a 9700 Pro for $200.00

Questions:

1: Is this a good deal?

and

2: Will I see a significant improvement as far as quality and fps?

Thanks in advance for the responses.......

1. Probably not $200 worth of a deal, unless of course you sell the 4600
2. In DX9 games probably quite a bit and also things like 3dmark03

A 9700 pro for 200 isnt a deal ????????

Are you joking ??

They still go for over 350 in europe.

Hopefully we are talking new ??and not used that someone overclocked tooooo much ??

I misread his question I think I thought it was a swap and 200$ but if you can buy a 9700 for $200 then yes go for it

I agree, bradmax57, but he must not expect a huge performance increase, ok it will be faster, but not twice as fast as before.

For now I'm quite happy with my voltmodded Ti4200 and I'll probably purchase an 9800Pro in November at the "HCC Dagen 2003" in Holland (where I live)
