8KHA+ 2.0 and TBred-B 2400

Hi Folks,

I have this board in my box and I'm very satisfied with it's stability. In the moment there is a XP1500 on it, now, when prices have fallen to an attractive level I thought I would buy a Tbred-B 2400 and put it on the board.

After browsing in this forum for some time I have not been able to get a clear impression whether there are probs or not regarding this configuration, so I decided to ask ;-).

Are there any success stories or is there a cooking recipe howto do this, or are there even some stories of unsuccessfull attempts ? There is an older Tekram SCSI adapter in the box, and I have read about probs regarding SCSI adapters.

I have just flashed the newest BIOS, and thought I would load the "Optimized Defaults" before unmounting the XP1500. Then I would mount the new XP2400 and the heatsink, and then hope that the board comes up, to load the "Optimized Defaults" again.

But before I buy this CPU I'd like to get some stories of successfull or even unsuccessfull attemps regarding this setup

The 2400+ works fine on the 8KHA+,i had actually overclocked it to 2600+ speed.
