spdif connector

Will any connector do or do I have to get the one made by epox..

The shop I'm usually buying from doesn't have them in stock.. however they have this for instance..

- SPDIF Out coaxial, RCA
- SPDIF Out optical
- 2x line out SPDIF (3.5 jack).
- 2x6pin connector

It's made by MSI.. but would it work with my 8RDA+ as well?

Please contact your branch office for either SPD-650 or SP-DOC

And my "local" branch office would be? From what I can see Germany is the closest one but I wouldn't want to pay some insane shipping only for a bracket..

If DIY is more your style.

It is certainly possible to use SPDIF backets made by other manufacturers (I'm using one designed for a As*s board on my 8RDA+). However, almost all the manufacturers seem to use different pin layouts for the SPDIF connectors on the motherboard.

If you can find the pin diagram that goes with the 3rd-party bracket, then all you need to do is match the connectors pin-to-pin with those on your motherboard.

Hope this helps,

Thanks, but it seems as I managed to get one ordered now anyways.. they were out of the SPD-50's but luckily enough they had 1(!) SP-DOC in stock today.. so I ordered it and seems as I grabbed the last one..

Now I only need those Z-680s..
