8RDA+ Built in Infrared Device

What's the use of this if any? How do I make full use ? I came across this option on Bios while finding the solution for transferring Pics from computer to SonyEricsson T68i. Is it possible? Anybody . Thanks.

You need the add on car which will attach to headers on the mobo, they were available at epox.org but seem to be out of stock.

Thanks for replying. I've also searched the net and found the same answer and now felt very stupid . Checking the original package whether it was included or not BTW epox here is 2thMAX and could have different package. Again Thank you for saving lot of time.

I beleive (although I'm not entirely convinced yet) that the IR header on the boards is actually a standard pinout. If you have some soldering experience, it shouldn't be too hard to build your own IrDA device. On the other hand, I tend to use bluetooth with my T68i.

IrDA needs line of sight and can be really tempermental. I use it occassionally, but I can't say I'm thrilled (just too lazy to get a data cable).

If bluetooth is an option, it should be much better, from what I've heard.
