| 8RDA3+ Serial Port Problem This is my SECOND 8RDA3+ mobo with the same prob. Win XP Pro + all updates All BIOS vers tried latest drives (the works) The Problem: Win XP recognizes the com ports ok (without any IRQ conflicts) but it refuses to recognize anything connected to them. I made sure the connectors were hooked up correctly but reversed them just to be sure. Did the usual manual attempt at installation without success. Was wondering if anyone has experienced a similar problem with this board. My previous mobo, an Epox 8K5A3+, had no problems recognizing my two serial modems (mice as well). In fact, XP installed drivers automatically without a hitch and everything worked first go-around. So why is this mobo so reluctant, unwilling, or incabable of recognizing these devices? Thanks, jim
