Question 8KHA+ with 2400+ temps @ stock

I just installed an AXP 2400+ on my 8KHA+. Seems to me these idle temps are slightly high at stock speed?

room temp: ~27C
idle: 51/33C
load: 54/34C (USDM 1.09.1)

What fan are you using?
What case ventalation are you using?
Those temps are perfectly safe, and unless your experianceing instabilities or you wish to overclock then i wouldn't worry about the temps too much, also keep in mine the temps that the motherboard report arn't allways accurate.

Hi Soul, thanks for the reply.

It's in my sig

Anyway, for CPU cooling I use:
Arctic Cooling Copper Silent 2500rpm 20dB

Chassi cooling (1 in front and 1 in back):
Zalman PS80252H 80mm 1700rpm 20dB

I upgraded from an old Athlon 1.4GHz (T-bird C), which had idle temp 53/35C, i.e. the 2400+ is 2C cooler. I just thought it would be more... But perhaps the decrease in voltage (1.75 -> 1.65) and the increase in speed (1.4 -> 2.0GHz) cancels eachother out?

Regards,

Baek

yeah the 1.4 athlon was a hot beastie. that heasink looks like the usual copper base alu fin bog standard cooler. i'd say the heatsink is near the bottom of the performance tables, upgrade it for a drop in temps.
