Epox EP-4PEAE

Hi, I have the EP-4PEAE on my computer and it crash with windows xp. My problem is a little bit strange. Before, I was using windows xp ( now I have 2000 because xp crash ). Everything were working well and no problem. A day, I wanted to try linux so I install linux it work well too but I cant play game so I formatted my computer and install back windows xp. I get some problem I never get before and I needed to unplug my RJ45 cable form my network card. The installation continue.... I enter in windows I check the comfig I install my network drivers and everything. I plug my RJ45 cable everything freeze. Id I restart my computer it freeze. If I unplug my cable hum... I can go in windows. I try with 5 differant card in the 3 differant socket 1 at time. The computer always freeze. I format my computer 6 times ( that really long ) and try everything I can do. I change some bios option I remove useless stuff but the computer always freeze. Finally At the 5th time I install windows 2000. And that strange because my computer is not freezing anymore. I install Windows Xp form windows 2000. Windows Xp freeze. I format for the 6th time. I reinstall windows 2000. that work again. But I want windows Xp !! windows 2000 is not really good and unstable with the game!. Anyone have an idea about what I can do ?

Maxtor 80gig at 7200/tr
Sound Blaster Live 5.1
Ati Radeon 9000 pro
