got a email back from epox stating that 'Overclocking could have corrupted the BIOS', and that'll be £9.95 for a new one + tool... well I say if the bios is faulty because of overclocking then the BIOS is crap or the overclocking options shouldnt be there... its not like I was pushing it too hard anyway I think I will RMA it and see what the supplier says, also it might not be the BIOS.

Unfortunately overclocking is not supported even though options are there to do so. Seems a bit odd it was ok the night before though?

doogie_howser seems you owe EPoX an apology...yes?

I do appologise, however if I had bought a new BIOS chip then I still wouldnt have been any closer to the answer. It was lucky a friend had another AGP card I could try, I was also told by the supplier to RMA the board, however if I had done this I would have had to wait for upto a week to find out the board was fine and probably be charged £20 testing as I was last time when they couldnt replicate the problem.

I know the LEDS on the board make it easier to diagnose problems but obviously there is still a need to make it easier or more literate

It seemed to me that as soon as I mentioned over clocking then that was the cause of the problem....

That might something to do with the fact that overclocking generates large numbers of help calls unfortunately. I know that a lot of manufacturers take the attitude that "overclocking"="root cause of problem", in both the hardware AND the software world. Alas, with the way that overclocking goes, they're right a significant number of the time...
