SiS new 745 chipsets supports DDR333

Hi! Is EPoX going to make a mobo out of the new SiS chipsets. I've heard it supports DDR333 technology which will give a huge amount of bandwidth.

I, too, have been looking forward to boards based off the SIS745 chipset, but limited benchmarks are available, as of yet.

The only boards currently sure to be available based on the SIS745 are the Abit KS7, ECS K7S6A, and the Leadtek 7450KDA. I look forward to Epox making a product based off this chipset, but consider it unlikely due to previous statements made condering the SIS735.

Sounds great, but will it have RAID?? I'd LOVE a 745 board, but if the 87SA doesn't have RAID I'll have to snag an 8KHA2 or 8KHA3... or maybe I'll get that and then once a RAID version comes out sell the old one and spend $30 to get an 87SA+/RAID board !

Whaddayaknow, I actually came up with a good idea (though a pain in the tail one since I'll be watercooling )!

I've heard that the new chipset isn't good at overclocking. Let's hope it would do the same overclocking as the VIA KT266a.

Nice!

Is EPoX going to use some of the integrated features of the SiS745, like integrated LAN and/or FIREWIRE?

That would be the argument that would made me prefer the EPoX against the others, e.g. ECS K7S6A.
