EP 4pca3+, Serial ATA mode not functioning

I'm kinda new on this thing. I am using a 80G Seagate Barracuda that uses Serial ATA. What I know is that when I choose the feature SATA mode:Raid on Integrated Peripherals for OnChip IDE device my pc would with Microsoft XP would not boot up. It only boots up when I choose the SATA mode: IDE.
Also, the CD Rom from Epox does not have ICH5 R raid selection.
Although I have the floppy disk to this, I do not how to open the device driver into my system.
It may sound elementary, but my limited knowledge on this has me frustrated.
Please help.

Thanks.....

With RAID mode, XP must be installed with RAID drivers.

1. Boot on Windows XP cd.
2. When installation detects hardware, press F6 to install third
part software.
3. Insert ICH5R diskette
4. Continue installation.

Orju's right. But you have to be quick with the F6 key! Keep watching the bottom of the screen until it appears.... Or did they improve that for XP (2000Pro user":O}

I'd like to welcome you both to AOA Forums, hope you enjoy what you find here!

Are you only using 1 drive? RAID requires atleast 2 drives.
