Exclamation EP-BXB-S Problem Installing Windows 2k and XP

Hi All,

Im still facing a problem installing windows 2000 or XP on my
motherboard, it hangs during installation of either windows
products, i can manage to install it using Standard PC but
not MPS, which actually bothers me, since i have 2 processors
i would like to see them both in the Task Manager.

My Spec's:

MotherBoard EP-BXB-S
Flashed BIOS v.60 (From epox website)
2x Intel 500 MHz Proc.
3X128 MB RAM
1X256 MB RAM
1x 60 GB WD HD
1x 8 GB WD HD
1x CD/DVD
1x Sony DVD Writer
1x SoundBlaster
1x Dlink 5 port USB 2.0
1x Nvidia 64MB

After Installing using Standard PC and change it to MPS (either MPS)
it hangs.
I have changed the Jumper JP100 2-3 and JP3 to 500MHz
both with no luck.

I can see both CPU's from BIOS when it boots, used to work fine
with NT4.0 (ahh the old days). and managed to work it on Linux
and both processors work fine.

Can any1 help me in making my machine work normal
Thanks

By your signature, it looks like you have two different type of memory, try removing all of the 128 Mb sticks, then load the operating system, if all is well, reinsert the other three sticks?

Golfer49 nop it didnt work ... btw i managed to make it work on Linux (both processors can be seen) only on M$ products which i cant seem to make it work (Except NT 4.0)
so it's not a memory problem.
