Please forgive my ignorance, but...

Are the latest 8X AGP video cards compatable with the 4X AGP slot and AGP voltage of the 8K3A+ rev 1.2 motherboard? Will a Radeon 9800XT or nVidia 5950, etc., cause any issues?

I believe they are. I blew my MB and had to put my 8x 9700pro in a MB with only 4x agp. It worked..

Sometimes they are sometimes they aren't. I try installing Geforce 8x cards into some older 4x mobo's and get all sorts of artifacts either from the moment you start the pc or in some cases when going into 3d environment. But officialy there should be no such problems. Those cards I told you they are working just fine into 8x agp mobo at this hour.
