I used to have a gigabyte ga-7vaxp, there was no visible thermometre so I'm guessing it was embedded or something, I'm not an expert. I was running my athlon xp2500 at standard voltages but oc'ed, at under 30'c. It would often idle at 27/28.

I now have an epox 8RDA3+ and it now idles at 40'c. This is by an in-socket thermister and I've read many a review that has said these don't tend to read correctly. Clearly there is up to a 13'c difference so I'm just wandering which is right or is it somewhere between the two!!!

I've been thinking about what has been said.....Since the board measures 'air temp' under the cpu then to be 11 degrees celsius warmer then room temp it would have to be super hot on power up immediately. What are the chances that the 'innaccurate' sensor could read that value immediately? NE1 have an 8rda3+ with an external temp sensor hooked up?
