Hi
1st of all sorry for my pooor english :-/
motherboard: Epox 8RDA3I rev 2.0
bios date: 12.11.03
I have a Epox 8RDA3I rev 2.0 and problem with USB and digital camera with Compact Flash card (samsung digimax 130). When I connect my camera to computer, Win XP detects it and shows new drive but I can't copy pictures from it. I've found other people who had same problem with epox 8rda+ (on win XP SP1, win 2K) and USB Compact Flash card reader. Upgradge nforce drivers doesn't change anything (i've used default winxp drivers, drivers supplied with mainboard ver 2.03 and newest drivers from nvidia.com 3.13). In BIOS I change option "Onchip USB" from USB 2.0 to 1.1 and "Enhance USB Compatibility" to Enabled but problem still exist.
Before BIOS update when I connect my camera, WinXP found new drive and when I open it I saw folders and pictures (but can't copy it) - now I don't see anything when I open that new drive - on the motherboards with VIA chipset (msi kt400, soltek kt133A) camera works well.
I've write a few email to
support@epox.nl but in last they advise me to buy an additional USB hub with own power supply - but why USB ports placed on mainboard don't work with my camera ..
How can I solve this problem without buying a external hub?
