Intellimouse and Hibernate

I just got a new Intellimouse. I have it plugged into the PS2 connector of an 8RGA+. It works fine except when I return from hibernate. Then the mouse is non-functional. The keyboard is also locked. I had to hit power-off to get the machine back. Cold boot fixes it. The keyboard is a regular old keyboard. No usb for either. The keyboard freezing seems particualrly odd.

Microsoft knowledge base says it is a BIOS problem - contact vendor.

Anyone know how to fix this. I have never updated the BIOS on this board because of the issues people were having with destroying the BIOS when they tried.

I think most of the bios corruption issues happened when too many changes in bios settings were made at the same time by the enduser, the rule of thumb was "make changes one at a time, checking for stability at each step", something to do with the bios chip only being 256k.

ps. And don't flash the bios while the rig is overclocked.
